Download current version (2.0)If you are upgrading from an earlier version, please check the upgrade notes. ChronoLator is supplied in two compressed ('zip') files: - Runtime.zip contains the Online Workbench, documentation, tutorials, and everything else needed to produce ChronoLator documents;
- Samples.zip contains an Illustration of Features document and a number of sample files. These use a fictional case study to demonstrate ChronoLator's Data Entry, Checking, and Merge features.
To download and extract the files: - Right-click on the button below for the file you want;

- From the popup menu, choose to Save the file to your computer;
To save to your computer, choose 'Save Target As . . .' or 'Save Link As . . .' depending on your browser |
- Open the saved file and extract its contents to a folder of your choice. This can be folder on your computer or one on a shared network drive;
Your computer should open the zip file with an appropriate program to extract its contents. Follow the instructions or use the program's Help for exact details. If the program has an option to 'Use folder names' or similar, you should tick it to ensure that the correct folder structure is preserved.
Windows XP might open the zip file in a standard Windows Explorer or 'My Computer' display. If it does, you must extract the files to an uncompressed folder before using them. The Extract all files command should appear in the Folder Tasks list to the left of the display. Click Extract all files to start the Extraction Wizard, and follow the prompts. |
- Check that the folder structure has been preserved during the extraction process ;

- Follow the instructions in the ReadMe.doc file you have extracted.
LicensingChronology documents produced while you are evaluating ChronoLator contain a watermark on every page to the effect that they were produced with an unlicensed version. If you decide you want to go ahead and purchase the product, you suppress production of these watermarks by buying a licence.
