Problem reporting

If you discover a problem with LogonAssist, you might find a solution in our list of known problems. If you do not, please fill out and submit the following bug report form.

If what you want to tell us is really more of a suggestion or a request for enhancement, please use our suggestion form instead.


Bug Report Form

We want to ensure LogonAssist works correctly and reliably in accordance with its documentation. As with all software, it is inevitable that it will contain errors which slip by our testing procedures. Your help in reporting such errors in as much detail as possible will be greatly appreciated.

Please be as specific as possible when describing the problem.

 

  1. Please enter a brief one-line description of the problem:

    (example: "Information Area ignores first update")

  2. If you can readily reproduce the problem, please list the steps to do so in the box below, leaving a blank line between steps.

    If it is not reproducible, please give as much detail as possible about the circumstances in which it occurred.


  3. If the problem causes any error messages to appear, please write down the exact text displayed and enter it here:


  4. LogonAssist maintains a time-stamped log to assist problem diagnosis. It contains information about your operating system, Java version, licence and so on. It does NOT contain any of your private data.

    Please browse the log using Help -> View Log. Find the part of it relating to the time you had the problem and cut-and-paste it into the box below. Include all lines between the 'INFO: ************* Log started' and 'INFO: ************* Session closing' lines. 




    If you have supplied the log, please go to question 8

    The answers to questions 5 6 and 7 may be found by using the Help -> About menu item in  LogonAssist.
